SportsWorx University for high school student-athletes is an invaluable partner that integrates academics with athletics to impress upon student-athletes the importance of both! The focus of SportsWorx University is to walk student-athletes through a simulated college campus environment in an effort to better prepare them for life as a collegiate student-athlete. The goal is to use athletics as the platform to help student-athletes be optimally prepared for college, and for those student-athletes that have the ability and desire to continue playing their sport in college, for college athletics. We provide them with the tools and resources necessary to navigate the recruiting process and give them best chance of being successful in finding the right place to play.

We want all student-athletes using our program to be the most educated, equipped and informed players in the country. The general format for the SportsWorx University is as follows:

There are 5 primary components of the SportsWorx System:

1) Education/Development:

Understanding the process is vital and it encompasses a wide range of information. SportsWorx System is a digital library of videos, tutorials, and articles to assist in improving student-athletes, as well as in understanding the complexities of navigating the recruiting process and college admissions. Every system needs an instructional manual and in this system it is The SportsWorx Playbook. This 84-page guide gives every student-athlete and parent, a step-by-step instructional manual including Timelines and Checklists beginning in the 1st 90 days of 9th grade taking them all the way through high school graduation. It is their guide as to what needs to be done in the classroom, in the training room, and on the playing field or court in order to have the best chance for moving on to the next level. 2) Research:

The SportsWorx College Research Database is a database of every two and four year athletic program in the country in every sport. In utilizing this very valuable resource, SportsWorx student-athletes are able to tailor their research of schools based on criteria that is important to them - athletic affiliation, geography, school size, tuition cost, GPA, test score parameters, and class rank - enabling their research to be very specific in terms of what they are looking for in a school and athletic program.

Following their diligent research, and upon identifying schools that are potentially a good fit, this program component enables student-athletes, and their high school or club coaches, to begin the process of contacting coaches via phone or email and begin to proactively market themselves to coaches throughout the country.


3) Marketing/Promotion:

The SportsWorx Online Athlete Profile is an online resume is easy to use and unlike any other. This is an opportunity for SportsWorx student-athletes to provide 13 pages of information to college coaches, who broadly recognize this profile as the best system they have ever seen. It gives them every item of information that they are going to need at one time in a simple format - video highlights, transcripts, SAT/ACT information, references, statistics, "see me play" schedule with a mapping feature, press clips and awards, contact information, and more. Additionally, the system gives coaches the ability to store the player's profile to come back and take future "snapshots" of an athlete's progress.


4) Matching:

The SportsWorx Coach/Athlete Matching Database enables college coaches across the country to set up specific searches within the SportsWorx database of players. This access allows them to specifically search for what their recruiting needs are. Coaches can search by grades and test scores, position, stats, size and speed, graduation date, or any combination, and get an immediate online result. The database matches the coach's criteria with the athlete's data which in turn gives the coach access to the player's profile and contact information..


5) Guidance:

The all important component of guidance - the mentoring element of the program that gives student-athletes a roadmap of what to do and when to do it, one step at a time. The SportsWorx System is a DIY (Do It Yourself) system which empowers the students, the parents and or the coaches to implement and oversee the program themselves whenever they want and however they want to do it. Every student-athlete in our program and their parents receive ongoing instructions via email to accomplish the necessary tasks over a period of 28 to 32 weeks - to ensure the best utilization of the program components and to maximize the benefits. Understanding that student-athletes today live in the world of electronic media, especially Facebook and Text,we have incorporated those two communication mediums into our program in order to get as much information directly into their hands in a manner which they will see and pay attention to.
